Mitteds & Colorpoints
It took 15 years, but the MITTED & COLORPOINTS are now eligible for CHAMPIONSHIP in CFA. Effective May 1, 2008 ALL Ragdoll colors & Patterns are now eligible for CHAMPIONSHIP in CFA.
Important dates in the Ragdoll quest for Championship for all patterns & colors in CFA
1974---First Ragdoll Exhibited in CFA by Blanche Herman
1981---First attempt by Denny Dayton & RFC to get the Ragdolls accepted by CFA--Rejected
1993---All Ragdolls accepted for registration in CFA but only the Bicolors given Miscellaneous Class
1998---Bicolors are advanced to Provisional Class
1999---First attempt to advance the Bicolors to Championship is voted down by a 9-8 vote
2000---Bicolors & Vans finally obtain Championship status in CFA
2002---Saw the First attempt to advance our Mitted & Colorpoints to AOV Status--rejected
2005---Saw the 2nd attempt to advance our Mitted & Colorpoints to AOV status--voted down 12-5
2006---Mitted & Colorpoints advanced to AOV by a 17-2 vote
2008---Mitted & Colorpoints advanced to CHAMPIONSHIP by a 17-2 vote
After 15 hard fought years the Ragdoll breeders finally prevailed, and ALL Colors & Patterns are now accepted for CHAMPIONSHIP in CFA
